About Arla Good
Dr. Arla Good, PhD, is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University and the co-director and lead researcher of the SingWell Project, an international research initiative investigating the potential of group singing to support psychosocial wellbeing, communication, and health in older adults. She holds a PhD in Psychological Science from Toronto Metropolitan University, where she continues to develop community-engaged, interdisciplinary research at the intersection of music, psychology, and health.
For over a decade, Dr. Good’s work has focused on identifying and optimizing singing-based interventions to enhance psychological and social wellbeing across a range of populations with diverse psychological, communicative, and social needs. Her research has been supported by national and international funders and featured in both academic and public forums.
