About Samantha Fung

Samantha Fung is the Founder and Director of Partnerships of Music For Every Child (MFEC), an organization she co-created to provide access to music for children with developmental disabilities. Her interest in this work began through volunteer experiences in elementary and middle school special-education programs, where she saw firsthand the barriers students with disabilities face and the impact of inclusive learning environments.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Samantha recognized the additional challenges posed to children with disabilities and their families, which reinforced her commitment to building MFEC. Under her leadership, the organization has received awards and recognition for its impact and continues to expand its reach.

Samantha is currently a Grade 10 student in the Peel Regional High Performer Program. She is an Ontario Champion gymnast competing at NCAA Level 10, a black belt in karate, a flutist with the Mississauga Youth Symphony Orchestra, a pianist, and a ballet dancer. She is also an active member of the Air Cadets, where she trains as a glider pilot.
