Viggo Mortensen is an actor, director, publisher, poet, photographer, painter, and musician. He has received various Academy Award nominations for Best Actor. He starred in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, Eastern Promises, The Road, Green Book and Captain Fantastic. His directorial debut Falling appeared in 2020 followed by The Dead Don’t Hurt in 2023 for which he also wrote the music and screenplay. He owns and runs Perceval Press, a book publishing company. He speaks fluent English, Spanish, French, and Danish and has released three jazz albums.
