About Vicky Williams
Vicky Williams is the Chief Executive Officer of Sistema Scotland, the charity behind Big Noise; Scotland’s leading music-based social change program. A professional trumpeter and graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Vicky has spent over a decade advancing inclusive, community-centered music education. She began her journey with Big Noise as a musician at its flagship Raploch centre and went on to lead its local programs before being appointed CEO in 2023.
Throughout her career, Vicky has been deeply committed to the belief that music can be a powerful force for social equity, resilience, and community cohesion. Under her leadership, Big Noise now works with more than 4,000 children and young people across six communities in Scotland, providing long-term orchestral programs that support wellbeing, confidence, and educational engagement.
Vicky brings to her work a unique blend of artistic excellence and grassroots leadership, grounded in a vision of music as a tool to transform lives. She is passionate about removing barriers to participation in the arts and building sustainable systems that empower young people through creative expression.
