About Bina John
Dr. Bina Ann John is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto and is a recipient of the Faculty of Music Excellence in Teaching Award. Currently, Dr. John is the lead investigator for a collaborative project, “From Custody to Community,” with the Community Music Schools of Toronto and Woodgreen Community Youth Services. Bina is a member of the Board of Directors for Community Music Schools of Toronto, a member of the Advisory Committee for the Doane Music School, the Program Advisor for the MusiCounts Slaight Family Foundation Innovation Fund and was a Judge for the JUNO Awards. Bina cherishes performing with the Exultate Chamber Choir and is the Music Director at the St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church in Norval.
